Just Another Day in Paradise

It's easy to get so caught up in life that you forget the details. Details, like... I live close to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Today the kids and I, along with Grandma N, set out for paradise. I was elated to find that my secret passage - a gate off a side street on the "nice" side of Malibu - was still there. We parked the car, headed down some steps, and boom: private beach for anyone who can afford to live there. As well as nosy families from the Valley.

I wish all of you a wonderful weekend full of salt air, nice views and no sand up your crack.

PS: Note to self: Do this more often. Life is too short to not stretch your hands toward the sky in Liv-like yoga posture and take a deep breath of sea air.

PS #2: Shave armpits next go around.

Jealous, now.

I don't miss much about CA, 'cept the beach. Ours are just so DAMN humid.

I've been computerless and internet-limited lately, so I'm sorry I wasn't around for your stressful week. I hope you're feeling better about everything. Remember, it goes both ways...you can drop a line if you need me, too. :)

Yummy. I'm jealous. Take more pictures!

(And shaved armpits are really overrated.)

Now you're speakin' my language. I remember when Big was traveling to Orange Cty for work--years ago--before kids. He was commuting between Denver and OC. Whenever I would come visit him, no matter how late my flight in, we'd head to the beach. It didn't matter which beach. Just the sound of the waves and the realization that compared to the ocean, things around me are quite small, was very cool, indeed. Great pic of Grandma and the kids.

Liv would kill to sneak through a secret gate to the beach, and do yoga! xoxo

Can I add out of sequence here...I didn't find an e-mail address for you, so here goes...

You left a comment on one of my postings right before I took off on vacation. You mentioned you might want to try to get it published. I just want to say...while I never thought of my little writing in that way, I greatly appreciate your kind words. It was awesome for you to say that.

Thanks for the reminder. I live so close to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and I can't remember when was the last time I went there to relax and enjoy life.

Most importantly, thanks for the reminder about shaving the armpit ;)
(do I really have to? - LOL!)
