In My Daughter's Eyes

"In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes"

Happy birthday, Pipsqueak. You might think I'm raising you, but the truth is, you're raising me. Thank you for inspiring me daily to love, honor, be silly and kick some serious booty. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you, you crazy kid.

Happy Birthday, Pip, you are a beauty and your smile lights up our lives.

Mama P, she is blessed to have you as a mother. You will learn from each other as the years go by, and will end up best friends.

Lisa - I tell them all the time to not grow up, but they don't listen to me.

Ham - Why does it scare you?

Cheryl - I can see you using this song along with a photo display on your blog.

Ellie B - I try to remember to cherish it all. Especially when I'm drowning in cleaning. One day I won't have little legos to complain about.

Janice - Thanks for your wishes. I have enjoyed meeting you through your writing.

Gretchen - Aw, thanks. Your kids look so much like you, too.

Liv - Rex's parents always say that she looks just like them. I'm assuming they smoke doobage before they say that.

Pam - I see how close you are to your daughters and grandchildren. I'll be lucky to be half as close to mine.

Princess - I thought of you last night at our princess party. You'd have loved the crowns.

How does she sing this and not cry?
I'm child-free, but it brought a
tear even to my eyes. Happy Pip!

I found you through Susie Q's blog. Your daughter is gorgeous and Happy Birthday to her. This is one of my all time favorite songs, although I don't even have a daughter. Well, actually I do, my daughter-in-love, and two beautiful granddaughters. I'm so blessed!! xoxo
