Pass the Elephant Pool

Twice the elephant pool of summer has been deflated. Twice I have practically lost consciousness blowing it up for my kids' amusement.

Today, during a particularly relaxing Sunday, I snapped a photo: Partly to remember how nicely my kids share... partly to remember a lovely evening of burgers and close friends... but mostly to rub it into my many cold weather buds that it's the end of November and my kids are SWIMMING.

I hope I don't lose my readership. Posted by Picasa

Ouch! It's cold here, that hurt! LOL

I am jealous not only of your weather, but of your kids' elephant pool. Where do I get me one of those?

Well, it's going to be almost 80 here on Thanksgiving - a little bit warm for this time of year, but I'm not complaining. So, no weather envy here! ;-) The pool is pretty cool, though. My son would love it.

Yep...that hurt. We're already burning a hole in our wood supply (no pun intended).

Oh go ahead and rub it in!

Looks like a fun time.

Ok...do NOT show that to my kids...they've not yet been able to grasp the abstract concept of "sunny, clear blue skies do not always equal warmth," and thus, there have been recent demands to get the slip and slide back out....

But, I'm just not into the whole human popsicle thing...

Pam - I'm so excited to have snagged you as a reader.

Lisa - What area do you live in? Not going to stalk you or show up at your door with the elephant pool (which by the way is from the in-laws... Grandpa is an obsessive neat freak, so every year he makes Grandma get rid of the blow up pool. I am an obsessive (but neat) pack rat who stores them in our garage rafters. In 2019 my in-laws will have a crisp clean house and I will throw an inflatable pool party for the blogging community.

Amisare - you need to check out Carlos Mencia for your joke of the day stuff. He's on Comedy Central and the funniest man in the history of time. Perhaps he's on You Tube?

Meno - If you see an elephant pool floating up your river bank with other junk, know that a six foot mama ain't far behind.

Mommyham - Glad you're checking in. I used to be a redhead myself, but now I'm a boring brunette. Well, not boring....

Thanks all!

Hi.
